What are report templates?
Report templates define the reusable text sections in your pentest reports. Using them keeps reports consistent and cuts preparation time when working across multiple clients or projects. Templates can be shared with team members, allowing your entire team to use consistent report formatting. See Sharing templates for details.Report templates are used when generating Editable pentest reports. When you create a pentest report, you select a template and an Engagement to populate the report with your standard content and client details.
Template types

Template sections

Creating a custom template
Fill in sections
Complete each section with your standard content. You can include placeholders that you’ll customize per engagement.
Editing and deleting templates
- You can edit or delete your custom templates at any time
- Default templates cannot be modified, but you can use them as a starting point for custom templates
Using templates in reports
When generating a pentest report:- Select your scans or findings to include
- Choose Editable pentest report as the report type
- Select a Report Template to populate standard sections
- Select an Engagement to include client and contract details
- Specify the report author
- Generate the report in your preferred format
Sharing templates
Report templates can be shared with team members on your account. When you share templates, team members can use them to generate reports with consistent formatting.Permission levels

How to share templates
- Go to Settings > Team
- Select the team members you want to configure sharing for
- Click Share
- Set the Report Templates permission level
- Click Save
