Adobe Coldfusion is affected by Remote Code Execution vulnerability. This vulnerability is affecting the CKEditor component because the
upload.cfm
is reachable without any authentication. The attacker can upload and execute Java Server Pages (JSP) files through the filemanager plugin. Uploading a webshell, the attacker can successfully achieve Remote Code Execution on the server.- Risk description
The risk exists that a remote unauthenticated attacker can fully compromise the server in order to steal confidential information, install ransomware, or pivot to the internal network.
