Vulnerability description

WSO2 Management Platform server is affected by an Unrestricted File Upload vulnerability that can lead to Remote Code Execution. This vulnerability is affecting /fileupload/toolsAny endpoint. The attacker can upload and execute Java Server Pages (JSP) files through the vulnerable endpoint. Uploading a webshell, the attacker can successfully achieve Remote Code Execution on the server.

The risk exists that a remote unauthenticated attacker can fully compromise the server in order to steal confidential information, install ransomware, or pivot to the internal network.

Upgrade the WSO Management Platform to a version higher than 4.0.0 for WSO2 API Manager, to a version higher than 5.11.0 for WSO2 Identity Server, to a verion higher than 5.6.0 for WSO2 Identity Server Analitycs, to a verion higher than 5.10.0 for WSO2 Identity Server as Key Manager and to a version higher than 6.6.0 for WSO2 Enterprise Integrator.
